2007 р. захистив дисертацію на здобуття наукового ступеня доктора фіз.-мат. наук “Спектроскопія і структура центрів люмінесценції та радіаційних дефектів в склі системи CaO-Ga2O3-GeO2”

Наукові інтереси:
1) Структура, магнітні та оптичні властивості упорядкованих (кристали, нанокристалічні частинки) і невпорядкованих систем (композиційно-невпорядковані кристали, стекла, тверді кристалічні розчини, нанопорошки, і т.д.).
2) Фізика парамагнітних центрів люмінесценції в твердих тілах, зокрема, електронного парамагнітного резонансу (ЕПР) і оптичної спектроскопії переходів в домішках і рідкоземельних іонах, а також власних і радіаційних дефектів в оксидних сполуках з впорядкованою і невпорядкованою структурою.
