Diffraction of Gaussian beam by the system of successive optical wedges
is considered. It is shown that the system can form high-order optical
vortices. The effectiveness of the system is about 90%. The number of wedges
in the system defines the topological charge value.
Key words: optical wedge, singular beam, high-order optical vortices
